Spare Parts has been playing in and around Houston for over 15 years as a cover/private party band. They play many styles of music at such local venues as The Hard Rock Café, The Woodlake Pub, SXSW, GoGirlsMusic showcases and more. By popular demand, the band has branched out and are performing original music written by lead guitarist Mike Lambert. Some of these songs were recently performed live on Houston radio 90.1 KPFT, and earlier recorded versions have been played on internet radio 29-95. Spare Parts is scheduled to record their first original CD at Red Tree Recording Studios in May 2010. Drummer Dale Bankston and bassist Marco Yepez drive the band as a solid, hard hitting rhythm section. Lead guitarist Mike Lambert’s skillful playing and catchy melodies are complimented by keyboardist Tom Tiller’s tasteful piano lines. Lead singer Linda Lambert lends heartfelt vocals to their melodic songs and Dan Carpenter’s soulful sax has become a signature part of the Spare Parts sound.
