Singer/songwriter Karina Nistal’s work consists of emotive jazz vocals on downtempo tracks, rapping in Spanish for the worldly sounds of reggaeton and fusing soulful Latin vocals with lively dance music.

Her bilingual debut album, Nistyle (Starlightbeats), introduced the term "reggaetron" (electro-reggaeton); and Rock River Music pushed two singles, Viviendo and Solido for use in Dodge Avenger promotions.

Karina and the Rebel Crew also toured the Middle East with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) to provide support and morale for our troops. The following year, the video for Viviendo premiered internationally on the MUN² bilingual video network.

The Karina Nistal Band performed at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin and at the Mayor’s Tree-lighting Celebration televised on KHOU Houston Ch. 11. She is set to release her sophomore album, Nistalgia in 2010.
